There are a number of ways you can effectively use air conditioning in a restaurant or bar:

  • Make sure you install the right sized unit for your space. A system too big or too small will end up costing you more in utility bills.
  • Use programmable thermostats. Most modern systems can automatically adjust the temperature according to the time of day, outside weather conditions and the number of people in the room.
  • Make good use of start up and shut down times. You don’t really need air conditioning units on 24 hours of the day in toilets. Programming start and stop times will keep your bills down and only begin working when needed.
